My client is seeking a motivated skilled welder who is wanting to progress further in their career.

Essential skills

3-5 years’ experience in Welding and Fabrication –( would consider less experience for the right candidate with exceptional welding skills and the willingness to learn)
Heavy Structural Steel experience and knowledge
Exceptional eye for detail
Proven Skills in Guiding and Training staff
Open to extended hours as required for a competitive wage


Key tasks and responsibilities:

To act as an In-house Fabrication and Welding Inspector

Review of requirements in inwards production
Ensuring materials used are fit for purpose
Carrying out inspection and testing during welding and after welding (visual only)
Co-ordinating requirements for NDT testing personnel
Identification and traceability of the welding operations



Expected Targets:


The company meets it obligations under ISO 3834, NZS 3404 and AS/NZS 1554 in regards to Fabrication and Welding Inspection
